I want to tell a story

Here's a story from one of the blogs I have read:

Here's a story... a real life de baz...

There's this girl who loves this guy alot, and the guy loves her too, so the guy asked her to be his gf. And she agreed. Before they became a pair, the girl already anticipated that they may face problems in the r/s because of their thinking and character difference, but she followed her heart and became the boy's gf. Beginning was sweet (just like any other love r/s that just began). Smsed day and night. Thinking about each other day and night. Occasionally went for movies outside (before the movie price went up). That time they had alot to talk about, because the r/s just started and there's so much about each other that they want each other to know. As time goes by jiu lesser things to say le... and never go see movies le (cos the prices went up). And the girl gets more and more busy with her sch stuff, like FYP and training. They meet lesser. Then maybe feelings got fade ba... more or less. Occasionally the girl had the thought of breaking up, but end up she managed to get that idea away. Who knows recently things seems to be so bad that the girl really wants to break up le. Maybe is cos the guy seems so not bothered by anything. Maybe is cos the girl can't stand some things about the guy. Or maybe the girl feels that the r/s is lacking of something, but when she wants to discuss with the guy, he just says that the girl is thinking too much and that to him the r/s is perfectly fine (which isn't the case to the girl). So when the girl wanted to break... somehow she hinted abit... and somehow the guy got her hint and guessed what's gonna happen. So the guy somehow never sms her le (unless the girl got sms him). The girl suddenly realized that she's so used to him in her life, and that it's kinda odd when things are different from what it used to be. The girl realized that she really is in love with this guy, but guy who's totally different from a guy that she'd like to be with. She've seen other guys who have the character she like, but she just have no feelings for them. Here's the irony... loving a guy who can't seem to give her what she wants. Maybe he's still young? But... should the girl let go or stay on the road? She don't know if they are really meant to be together. She's worried that if she lets go, she may lose this person forever. But if she doesn't, she have to be prepared to wait till the guy is more matured. Yet she's also worried that the guy may end up realizing that after all he doesn't love her that much and end up loving someone else or that he wont't change at all - if that happens, the hurt dealt will be so much more greater. So what should she do?


WhoaZ, what a story. What really strucked me in this story is having feelings for a person whose characters are totally not your type at all. So, what's the point of setting pre-requisites for who your lover is if the person you want to be with is a totally different person. HmmZ, difficult to tell, difficult to answer, difficult to confirm.

Of Teaching and Learning

Over the past two weeks, I was invited to attend a block class on "Learning to Teach." After two weeks of class, here are some reflections that I have. We thank God Bro Casey is a pretty humane teacher... :P  Firstly, teaching needs to meet the changing challenges of the 21st century. This is especially pertinent with all the advancements in technology as well as the worldview changes with the generation today. There is simply no room for the teacher to remain stagnant and not be able to keep up with times so as to engage their students and to facilitate learning. Applying to theological education and Bible school, we have to consider what kind of ministers we are training for the churches in the 21st century. If we are training ministers who are able to engage today’s generation, then we need to review the current methods of teaching and train ministers to be savvy in social media and technology and be able to make use of them in their ministries. Of Exegesis, Wedding Preparation and the Whole Lot of Things: Another Reflection

To those who know what happened, the past months since the start of 2016 had been very stressful to me. In the preparation to my impending wedding this coming October, my future father-in-law decided to throw a few spanners into the wedding preparation by declaring that he was not comfortable with me as a life partner to his daughter because I am a full time Christian worker and more importantly because I come from a different family background from her.  The latter means that there are certain practices in my own family which are unthinkable in his worldview on how a family should function. This led to intense tensions between Angelina and myself. To compound the stress, NT Exegesis class was not that easy also and the stress of meeting the deadlines mean that I sometimes did not have the time to reflect deeper into the situations I was facing in my relationship.  However, studying the text of Philemon 15-20 reminded me of the way we should conduct our relationship in Christ
