Blessed be Your Name

Blessed Be Your Name

Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

The chorus and bridge of this song got stuck in my heart since the prayer meet. Perhaps it has been due to the heart ranching experience for past few weeks. I realised that the more difficult the period is, the more we should praise God and pray to Him. It isn't supposed to be the case that we worship Him based on our feelings and emotions, but we worship Him by faith and in truth. It isn't easy, but I dun think life will be easier if we do the opposite. Let's put in a analytical manner: in truth we know that God is what we need, that He's the One, our Redeemer, our Saviour, the King of our lives. We experience the valley experience, so we feel down. In that case, we have 2 choices, either to choose to continue worship God, although you are feeling down, or to choose to ignore God altogether and try to get out of the experience your way. You know that even if you choose to worship God, things may not change. Then how? If let's say both ways would not yield immediate improvement, then how? Choose to worship God lah.... cos in that case, we already know that in truth, God is not something we worship based on feelings. In any case, God has already given us the ultimate reason to worship... He redeemed us from our sins with His only Son. That is reason enough.

Amen
