Treasure
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. I was reading the book of Matthew after the Life of Christ seminar held last week. Then I came to Matthew 6:19-21. This passage is a bit interesting and I decided to meditate a little bit on this passage. Jesus talked about storing up treasures not on earth but in heaven and once we do that, the implication is that our heart will be with heaven also. The question lies with us is why didn't he say that our treasure will be where our heart is? I believe this is simply impossible to our sinful heart.
